Activate! Camp

Activate! camp takes our traditional summer camp experience to a whole new level. All the classic features of Camp Peniel (swimming, archery, campfire, camp-wide games, tuck, low ropes course, water trampoline, gaga ball, etc) are still available this week, but on top of these are our specialty Activate! options: canoeing, Pinteresting crafts, wilderness activities, cooking, and model rockets.

 

Each camper who attends Activate! camp chooses one of those five Activate! options to participate in for the week. Unlike regular options, Activate! options are two hours long each in order to give campers an opportunity to really develop skills in these areas.

Canoeing: campers will learn basic canoeing skills and take home a CANSPEI canoeing badge at the end of the week.

Pinteresting crafts: campers will make unique crafts and participate in some intense artistic activities. 

​

Wilderness activities: campers will develop outdoor survival and safety skills. A good introduction for campers who might go to Wilderness Camp in the future. 

Cooking: campers will cook and bake a variety of different recepies, some of which they will eat themselves and some of which will be eaten by the whole camp.

Model rockets: campers will build, paint, and launch they own model rockets. Rockets will be taken home at the end of the week.
